Power Systems Projects (Pty) Ltd — known to the industry as PSP — designs and manufactures the communication hardware that connects electricity, water, and prepaid meters to modern, broker-based Head-End Systems. Based in Pretoria, South Africa, PSP has worked in smart grid metering since 1993.
Our product range covers the full path from meter to cloud: gateways that publish to any standard MQTT broker, a self-healing radio mesh of extender nodes and coordinators that carries data across a site, and small comms modules and keypads that attach directly to individual meters.
All PSP products are currently undergoing type-approval testing with an ICASA-accredited laboratory. Every gateway, mesh device, and comms module is being tested fully assembled in its production enclosure, so that what's certified is exactly what ships.
